Coach Jess first started coaching with the Heartbreakers Organization in 2017 after graduating from Hood College. There she played for 4 years under Heartbreakers 18U Gold Coach Terry Burdette. She earned All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention in her senior season after leading the Blazers with a .353 batting average and .437 on-base percentage.

 Jess grew up playing little league and travel softball in Connecticut before playing in high school at Cushing Academy in Massachusetts. Having a love of sports and competition, she has also played volleyball, field hockey, ice hockey, Taekwondo, skiing, and snowboarding.
